From the Board Chair

Welcome to the United Way of Greater Cumberland County’s website. We are pleased to introduce you to our mission and vision for the United Way of Greater Cumberland County and how you can assist to achieve these goals. Additionally, I want to thank you for taking time to learn more about the work we are doing within our community to improve the lives of others through our Partner Agencies, Corporate Partners and donors to the United Way.

I am very proud of our Board of Directors and all of our volunteers as we continue to grow the United Way of Greater Cumberland County. We are creating new systems, developing new partnerships, and investing our donor’s dollars into programs that are making a difference in the lives of so many people here in Cumberland County. Through our program initiatives and funding, our United Way moves beyond the surface of critical community problems to tackle their underlying causes. We understand that the various issues faced by children and families in need are interrelated and must be addressed together, and no single group can do it alone. Our goal is to bring all sectors of the community together to work collaboratively in solving community problems.

We thank you for your past support and welcome your continued contribution of time, talent and financial resources. We know that it only takes a few committed individuals to make a great impact on our community. Because of your support and dedication of the United Way, the lives of real people are changed for the better as we work to build a stronger community.
